James Thompson left his home in Vancouver, Canada in 2002 to move to Sweden, making his home in Göteborg, where he recently graduated with an MFA in design.
He believes the objects we chose to surround ourselves with, tell a story about us. They are basically clues to our personality.
James makes his mark while handworking with industrial materials, choosing the to let the materials do most of the talking and allowing them to create unexpected moments of pure visual joy. He also sees himself as a bit of a toolbox, loving the randomness of the projects that come his way...everything from engagement rings to habitation concepts for submarines.
